How to support students looking at new and emerging fields, especially in tech?

Eton College can count on experienced career advisers and a vast alumni network. The Millie Team further augmented the school provision by covering Artificial Intelligence (AI) careers through our strong ties to the tech scene in Silicon Valley and New York. Specifically, we hosted two discussions around entry-level jobs in the field:

• One comparing Data Analyst vs. Product Analyst careers, with mentors from Google and Microsoft
• One analyzing Applied vs. Research-based Machine Learning careers, with mentors from Amazon AWS and IBM

Instead of listening to a broad presentation around “AI”, students interacted with industry practitioners, learning about specific job roles and companies in this growing industry.
